Percepción de incidencia de políticas públicas en las áreas naturales protegidas marinas, en el desarrollo económico en cinco comunidades del Golfo de California, México

Las políticas públicas influencian el comportamiento de las comunidades originando cambios socio-económicos en la creación y aplicación de políticas orientadas a la conservación de la biodiversidad. En tres comunidades de Baja California y dos de Sinaloa del Golfo de California, México, se analizó la percepción de los pescadores, autoridades y científicos con respecto a la aplicación de las políticas públicas de conservación a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas, tomando como base el modelo del Banco Mundial. Se encontró que hay desconfianza con las políticas de conservación y diferencias en su aplicación. Las comunidades pesqueras tienen un papel relevante en la visión de futuro y desarrollo de las mismas. La toma de decisiones de sus miembros se vuelve un factor vital en el manejo de los recursos naturales, por lo que su participación es fundamental en las políticas públicas aplicadas para el cuidado y preservación de las áreas naturales protegidas marinas.
