Sustentabilidade empresarial e ESG: uma distinção imperativa

A sociedade cada vez mais incorpora as preocupações com as questões ambientais e sociais que possam afetar as gerações futuras, em especial após o alerta da pandemia Covid-19 sobre a interdependência das relações sociais, ambientais e econômicas. Com uma exigência cada vez mais responsável sobre sua forma de atuar perante a sociedade, as organizações se deparam frente a uma propagação do termo ESG pelo mercado financeiro, e que traz também a rediscussão do conceito da sustentabilidade empresarial frente a sociedade. Ambos os conceitos vêm sendo utilizados por muitas empresas de forma indiscriminada e sem a devida conexão com as esferas organizacionais das corporações. Nosso objetivo é esclarecer as diferenças essenciais para que as organizações utilizem as vantagens de ambos os conceitos em sua gestão e estratégia.
